Suggested Strategies
Consider letting the Main Tank pull this mob into one of the corners opposite the entrance point of the room. Casters and healers should stay at maximum range near the doorway. When Zylphax is wedged into a corner, watch for him to make an emote (check chat bubble or emote screen) for "Oops I dropped something". When this message appears, move all of the attackers within range to the opposite corner (away from the mob and the entrance) to avoid a huge poison DoT from his Stench of Death special attack. You have four seconds after the pot drops before the Stench of Death goes off, so step lively!
EQ2 Raidmobs suggests an alternative to this strategy that involves kiting the mob.
When the Shredder says his "Come Here" emote, he will port the low person on his hate list to him and fear them. It's best to have a designated "low man on the hate totempole" - usually a backup tank - go in and hit Shredder once, then back out and do nothing more. Also instruct the healers to whallop Shredder every so often either melee or spell. This way he doesn't summon all the healers and fear them.
