What does this information mean?

Prerequisites

• The recipes require a level 90 crafter.
• Begins with quests given by Eirik at The Thurgadin Exchange
• You will also need 40k faction with Forgemasters of Thurgadin see step 4 of this quest.
  • After doing Tora's quests you can start doing Mikk Eishammer's faction quests.

Special Items Not Obtained During the Quest

• 2 Gnomish Pirate Spirits is tinkered. The recipe is obtained during the High Spirits quest and retained after completion.
• 1 Crystalline Spiderling Silk (from Ktlk in Goahmari Village - requires completion of Capru's quest To Capture a Dream)
• 1 Genuine Velium Powder (bought for 5p 83g 20s in Thurgadin from Merchant Hagus at ( 335, -292, 250 ) Copy/waypoint 335, -292, 250)
• 1 Woven Frost Giant Beard (bought for 5p 83g 20s in Thurgadin from Merchant Hagus at ( 335, -292, 250 ) Copy/waypoint 335, -292, 250 )
• 1 fresh clay comes from the daily tradeskill task in Tupta after doing the Ship Out quest. (One only need hail Reedip Marrstongue to be issued daily quests to be able to see the fresh clay on the ground. Quest can be deleted after harvesting). This is NO-TRADE, NO VALUE so it must be harvested by those using it.

More information about fresh clay 

• • The fresh clay is used to make Rune Casting Mold by a carpenter. The fresh clay is NO-TRADE and Rune Casting Mold is HEIRLOOM.
    • If you are a carpenter you can collect fresh clay and craft Rune Casting Mold's and distribute them to your other crafters on the same account using the shared bank; in that case no other crafters on the same account as your carpenter need to obtain fresh clay.
    • If you need a Carpenter friend to craft the Rune Casting Mold by commission system you must supply the fresh clay! But as again the Rune Casting Mold is HEIRLOOM so you can collect fresh clay by any character on your account and have all Rune Casting Mold's commission crafted to that character and distributed using shared bank to your other crafter on same account.
      • A carpenter on another account (meaning your friend or your carpenter on a separate account) can't use fresh clay from their inventory supply to commission craft to you because in commission crafting the customer most always supply all items marked with HEIRLOOM/NO-TRADE. The crafting process can't be started until the customer has supplied all HEIRLOOM/NO-TRADE items to commission window. Attempting to accept and start the crafting process without the HEIRLOOM/NO-TRADE item will render the crafter an error message and crafting can't be started.

You don't have to purchase any extra of the Genuine Velium Powder, or the Woven Frost Giant Beard unless you lost one, in that case they are sold by Shady Swashbuckler XVIII (only purchasable by those on the quest).

Steps

Tora asks you to do what you can to release the spirits of the Coldain.

1. Speak to the gnomish pirates on the Thurgadin Harbor in Great Divide.
   • To exit the instance, turn around. There's a standard round portal behind you. You can fly to the docks via the Griffon near Tora.
2. Speak to Fenwick ( 1293, -540, 474 ) Copy/waypoint 1293, -540, 474 . Ask him about Brell.
3. Search the library in Brell's temple in Thurgadin for information about the shawl. It's a scroll at ( 475, -211, 237 ) Copy/waypoint 475, -211, 237 , on the second shelf from the bottom. Pick it up to receive Personal Notes of Lorekeeper Solstrin.
   • If you're an Armorer or Tailor, be sure to grab the extra recipe scroll at ( 475, -211, 237 ) Copy/waypoint 475, -211, 237 next to it!
4. Speak to Loremaster Verdandi in The Temple of Brell in Thurgadin, City of the Coldain at ( 474, -212, 255 ) Copy/waypoint 474.12, -211.64, 255.32 .
   • Note: She will not tell you about the prayer shawl until you have 40,000 faction with the Forgemasters of Thurgadin.
5. Speak to Capru in the Goahmari Village ( 377, -15, 528 ) Copy/waypoint 377, -15, 528 .
6. Retrieve the Damaged Coldain Prayer Shawl from the box at Capru's feet.
7. Scribe Goahmari Notes on Shawl Repair, now in your inventory.
8. Collect your ingredients and repair the Damaged Coldain Prayer Shawl at a sewing table to produce Silk Coldain Prayer Shawl. Might think about using a progress potion its a long craft time.
   • You can get two Crystalline Spiderling Silk per day from spiderling Ktlk, if you've done the tradeskill mount timeline (if you don't see any spiders, it's because you haven't done the tradeskill mount timeline), or you can buy it from other players at the broker or get it from a friend (it's tradeable).
9. Speak to Loremaster Verdandi ( 474, -212, 255 ) Copy/waypoint 474.12, -211.64, 255.32  in Thurgadin.
10. Speak to Mira at ( -1357, -534, -2160 ) Copy/waypoint -1357, -534, -2160  in Great Divide at Icy Fingers. She gives you two Siren Hair. (If you lose them you'll have to buy them from Shady Swashbuckler on the Nektulos Forest docks for  15g 24s.)
    • You can get to her easily using your Evac spell or picture in your house (she's at the Othmir camp)
    • Matthew in the tradeskill area of Icy Fingers sells travel baubbles.
11. Scribe the Coldain Records on Historical Embroidery. Collect the ingredients and repair the Embroidered Coldain Prayer Shawl on a sewing table.
12. Speak to Loremaster Verdandi ( 474, -212, 255 ) Copy/waypoint 474.12, -211.64, 255.32  in Thurgadin.
13. Pray to Brell in the temple in Thurgadin.
    • You will need Gnomish Pirate Spirits (made during the High Spirits quest or return to the Pirate Distillery in Thurgadin harbour next to Fenwick later or buyable at the broker - see Preamble).
    • There's an altar at ( 487, -213, 257 ) Copy/waypoint 487, -213, 257. Right-click it and select "leave offering".
      • NOTE: Check the mini map for a book and move towards it. You should get your inspiration there. It may take as long as a minute or so, be patient. The book does NOT appear on the main screen. Be sure to respond by clicking "Praise Brell".
    • Upon the altar where you left the offering should be a scroll. Right-click it and select "take scroll".
14. You receive a recipe for Runed Coldain Prayer Shawl and a recipe appropriate to your class, which is part of the reconstruction process. Read step 15 before you begin to craft. Don't forget there's a complete list of materials for each recipe listed below! (look beneath the Gallery)
    1. Pattern: Rune Casting Mold - Carpenter
    2. Pattern: Blank Brellium Rune - Armorer
    3. Pattern: Burin - Weaponsmith
    4. Pattern: Etched Brellium Rune - Woodworker
    5. Pattern: Liquid Velium - Alchemist
    6. Pattern: Cutlassfish Oil - Provisioner
    7. Pattern: Liquid Velium Ink - Sage
    8. Pattern: Sacred Coldain Thread - Tailor
    9. Pattern: Velium Etched Rune - Jeweler
15. At this point you'll need all nine crafting classes to complete the shawl. Note that the results of these recipes are all Heirloom. See table below.
    • Pay attention: The quest journal MUST update after each combine. If it doesn't, the final shawl combine will fail. The items can't just be in the shared bank, you MUST move the item into the character's bag for the quest to update.
    • Attention: The quest will ask for the combines in a specific order. While it is possible to craft some of the items ahead of time, if you don't have the object in your inventory because it was used for the following recipe, it won't update.
      • For example, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you complete the Sage combine BEFORE you complete the Woodworker combine, or upon completing the Woodworker combine, your quest will move to the Alchemist step, and since the Alchemist combine is no longer in your inventory (having been consumed to craft the Sage combine), you will need to have it crafted AGAIN.
16. Craft the Runed Coldain Prayer Shawl at a Sewing Table and Mannequin (portable works here also).
17. Speak to Tora at the camp at Blisterrock Ridge in the Great Divide at ( 107, -345, -616 ) Copy/waypoint 107, -345, -616 
18. Teleport to the Glacial Cave using the orb near her.
    • Fun fact: The cave is supposed to be under the ring of war battlefield, but uses the zone assets of the Crystalline Breaks zone located in Eastern Wastes
19. Speak to Tora, Put the shawl on the table, scribe the book (Tora's Directions on Summoning Crystals), gather the resources needed from the table (5 Rough Coldain Crystal, 5 Coldain Beard Hair, 5 Herb of Remembrance, 5 Coldain Sacred Incense), open up your recipe on the device near her and then finish speaking to her.
20. Craft 5 Summoning Crystals and put them on the table in 12 minutes.
    • Note: Mass Production on this timed step is possible, since you'll receive the update for putting them on the table. Precrafting however does not work. Should you not be able to Mass Craft it is advised to use a Potion of Progress for this step.
    • Note: Making a crafting-mistake is deadly...was tried...
21. Speak to Brell.
22. Hail Tora again once you exit the cave to receive 5 Coldain Summoning Crystal for your home.
    • You can also speak to her after the quest
23. Speak to Loremaster Verdandi.
