26Feb07. Wow. Every time I try to figure something new out, I am befuddled by the instructions here. Today, I thought it might be nice to add a Server to the server category. As usual, the instructions here Help:Gathering_Intel are nowhere clear enough to help me edit without utterly ruining templates and pages. Instructions should be absolutely clear, not squishy. I'm sorry for the damage I'm causing, but I mean well and I'm trying.

To create a page, you actually go to the pagename that you want made. I see you were trying to create a page for the Kithicor server, so this is what you would do. Go to Kithicor_(Server) click the edit link and put the {{subst:SvIx}} in there and save, then edit again and put the info in! The easiest way to get to a page you want to edit or create, is to use the search feature on the left side of the page. Type what you are looking for or want to create, if there is no page, it gives you the option to click the link to make one. I will keep your talk page on my watch list so if you have anymore questions, I can answer them as quickly as possible, or at least get the attention of someone who CAN help.--Cuksis 22:06, 26 February 2007 (CET)

26Feb07. Thanks. To be honest, I would NEVER have thought of browsing to a non-existent page in order to edit it. That is really counter-intuitive. I will give your advice a try. While I'm glad you answered my question, I think my question is one of the top ten most confusing things about using EQ2I. That is, how do I create something from nothing?. -Holman.

I know it's odd, but I think that's how all wiki's work. They rely on the users to create the pages. Trust me, once you get the hang of it, the frustration level will go way down! =) Just let me know if you need any mote help. --Cuksis 01:08, 27 February 2007 (CET)

Thanks, your advice was enough shove to get me over the hump of editing. I had this grand notion of uploading a bunch of guild heraldry cloak pictures. That's what started me down this path. I'm not sure if it's polite to upload any but my own guild, so maybe I'll just create the framework and inspire others. - Holman
