Welcome to EQ2i

Hello Blin, and welcome to EQ2i! Thank you for your contributions. We hope you decide to stay. Please edit to your heart's content and don't worry overmuch about getting it right. If you're unsure of how to use any of our templates at the site, don't panic! Just start a new article and place {{wikify}} at the top of the page. Another editor will take care of the rest. Here is some general information you might find useful:

And here are some very basic editing tips:

  • If you need something deleted, place {{delete|the reason here}} on the top of the page.
  • If you see something where you know the name is not right, use the "move" link to change the name of the page.
  • If you find a page name that you are unsure if it has the correct name, place {{CapCheck|suggested correct spelling}} on the top of the page.
  • For information that you would like others to verify in-game use {{FactCheck|what you need checked}}.
  • And if all else fails and you're just not sure what to do, place {{Admin Needed|the reason here}} on the top of the page. There is also the "Report Problems" link that should appear on all pages; it is a help-ticket system that all wikia.com wikis are using.

If you need any additional help, just drop by my talk page or any of the admin's talk pages. We'd be glad to help.

Shortasszed musings[edit source]

Well I was playing as my Dwarf Fury Shortassz the other day and someone asked a question in chat. Thinking nothing of it I answered. Then someone commented on my name, saying how inventive it was or some such. I happened to mention that I'd only once been offended by a toon's name when some time back I noticed one called "Racisst" or "Raycist" or something. Next thing I know I'm getting a tell from a GM saying my name contravenes the naming policy.I'd been reported. (maybe it was "raycist") Now I know that SOE has to have a naming policy to stop copyright infringement, obscene or offensive names and so on. I suppose it all depends on your point of view but I don't think that "ass" is particularly offensive (or "assz" as the case may be). 2 of my young children play EQ2 and I'm quite happy for them to see my toon's name...To cap it all I was looking on EQ2 players a couple of days later, to see if the name change had propagated there, and my search came up with a different toon called "Shortarse" ! I didn't report him/her.....--Blin 02:55, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
