Search Terms Edit
I saw you post this
- Dear Wikia search engine: when I type a phrase into the search box that is an EXACT MATCH for the title of an article, I don't actually need to go to the search results page. JUST TAKE ME DIRECTLY TO THAT ARTICLE. That is all.
I find that a bit frustrating also. I like to minimize clicks when I can. The monobook layout will take you directly to the article that matches your search term. The wikia layout does not for some reason. I'm not sure why.
You can find the 2 layout choices under your user preferences. You may not like the less graphical approach of the monobook layout but it's the only one that does what you want right now. Maybe that new fluid layout would take you directly to the article you searched for but I haven't tried it yet. Jado818 (talk) 02:58, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
- Interesting... I've actually never used any layout but monobook, but it never seemed to do this before (that userpage message is pretty old). I've just tried though, and it appears to be working now, at least for the few quests/items that I just tested.
- Anyway, thanks for the tip, cause I wouldn't have even checked otherwise! -Bekkr (talk) 03:36, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
