If you have this problem then you need to 'look' at the spot where the waypoint-whisp vanishes, and move carefully around until you see the cog appear so you can harvest it.

  1. I should search the Moors of Ykesha for more odd mechanical pieces. Note that first two are small cogs, and I didn't see them at first (I thought the loc's were bugged) because they are almost the same color as the ground. If you have this problem then you need to 'look' at the spot where the waypoint-whisp vanishes, and move carefully around until you see the cog appear so you can harvest it.
