The volcanic islands of Timorous Deep are home to the enlightened and liberated Sarnaks of Kunark. Over the past 60 years a refuge city has been built here, inside a cinder cone, harnessing the geothermal energy of the region. Now that travel has been reestablished with Faydwer and the rest of Norrath, other races have immigrated and become citizens of this tolerant community.
Geography[]
The Timorous Deep is an ocean zone with three islands: Chrykori Isle, Gorowyn, and the Isle of Mok. It is possible to swim between the islands, but more practical to take the griffon routes instead.
This zone includes the city of Gorowyn, which is the starting city for the Sarnak. It is also an optional starting city for Humans, Gnomes, Kerrans, Erudites, Half Elves,Barbarians, Ratonga, Dark Elves.
Travel[]
A set of griffon towers gives travel between the three islands that make up this zone. Unlike in other zones, it is not possible to jump off of a griffon in mid-flight in this zone.
