What does this information mean?

This is an unlimited repeatable quest

Note

  • The first completion of this quest advances This won't end well... and provides one of the rewards listed. It can be repeated as many times as you wish to receive another of the same reward or the additional second reward as long as you do not have one of them in your inventory (they are lore items).
  • After completing the quest the first time, additional things to do have opened up: several lore & legend books throughout the mansion and a special toy chest in the children's room now exist. The lore & legend books are clickable and are for monsters already available in the world (such as goblins and evil eyes), but if you already have the quest or have already completed the quest, nothing will happen. The books can be found on the bookcase to the right of the main stairs, on a bookshelf near the piano in the piano room, on the table atop the foyer, in Joanne's room on the same table as the perfume, and on the bookcases closest to the fireplace in the children's room.
  • A toy chest appears only on the second run through and never again. Click the toy chest in the children's room to receive the quest starter a dirty mask for They won't miss it..., the reward from which is either an Antonia mask or a Lucan mask.
  • All the mobs are arrow down now. It no longer needs a group.
  • A MAXIMUM of 3 players can be in your group when you zone in; any extra players will be kicked out of the zone after approximately 15 seconds.

Steps

  1. Advance to the foot of the foyer stairs to spawn a group of three a D'Ryil vampire's scaled to down arrows one level below yours. Once you kill them, you will hear the sound of a key hitting the floor. On the right-hand side of the stairwell, you will see a glowy pink key ( -415, 9, -74 ) Copy. Collect it, and you will then be able to open the door to the west.
  2. Open the door to the west, and you will enter a music room. Examine the music page on the piano. Mobs will spawn. Kill them, then gather the key that drops somewhere in the room. (Commonly under the piano or on the bookshelf.)
  3. You may now open the door to the east, the coffin room. You will enter a mist-filled coffin room holding around 6 coffins. Grab the torch on the wall beside the door, and torch each coffin in turn. A vampire spawns out of each coffin. Kill the vampires in turn. Finally you will arrive at the center (last) coffin. You will open it and find a key inside.
  4. This is the key to the upstairs (hidden) room. At the top of the staircase where a partially revealed skeleton is on the floor, run through the wall. You will enter the parent's room. There is a key on the nightstand and a bottle of perfume on the desk. When you walk out of the room, you will be attacked by another encounter of vampires.
  5. Head back to the main room and go through the final locked door. Through the hallway you enter the children's room. You must find three items:
    • A boomerang on the boy's bed
    • A stuffed animal on the girl's bed
    • Through the hallway is the baby's room, there is a rattle on the table.
  6. You must find the ritual instructions back in the music room on a coffee table. When you click it you receive Ritual of Cleansing into your inventory. Use the item nearby.
  7. Sarkon D'Ryil spawns and attacks you. He is a one-up solo mob. It is a tough fight.
    1. Once you get him to about 20% health, he will become unattackable and move to the staircase, then heal to full health and attack with a swarm of bats (even con double-down). **NOTE: *Warning*, high single hits can kill him in one shot (e.g. Devastation fist, Execute, Manaburn). If he dies before becoming non-attackable, the quest cannot advance. You will have to zone out to reset the quest.
    2. Get him down to about 20% health again, he will again become unattackable and move to the coffin room, and heal to full health and attack with two bat swarms.
    3. Get him down to about 20% health a third time, he will become unattackable and jump into the dumbwaiter. Right click and enter it after him.
  8. Move through the basement. There are swarms of bats like the ones Sarkon spawns, and an even-con a Protective Bat. At the end of the hallway is Sarkon, and you can kill him now.
  9. Investigate the mirror that Sarkon was standing in front of, and you will be attacked by reflection of yourself, one level higher and ^^ heroic. Defeat yourself to finish the quest.
  10. Leave the house via the dumbwaiter and hand in the pre-cursor quest This won't end well...
