A mysterious army wielding blades of frost and casting ice-magic has landed upon the shores of Kunark. They call themselves the Order of Rime and appear at though they are here to stay. What is their motive? Is it conquer and pillage? Is it to seek refuge from an unknown threat back in their homeland? No one knows for sure, but one thing is for sure: This army means business. Since none of the many factions in Kunark have the strength to confront them directly, it is up to a tired adventurer stumbling in from Faydwer to get to the bottom of this strange invasion.

This timeline was released in LU52 and is meant to run concurrent with the questing in Rise of Kunark. If at any point you become stuck in your progression, chances are you do not have enough faction with the Order of Rime. You will need to do repeatable quests in either Fens of Nathsar, Kunzar Jungle, or Jarsath Wastes to increase your faction enough to obtain the next quest in the main questline. During the quest, Infiltration System, you receive an Order of Rime Illusion, which is essential to the progression of the timeline since when you have it active it increases your faction with the Order of Rime by 40,000, up to -8,800. Not only does it enable you to pick up additional quests, but it also prevents the numerous Order of Rime mobs found in every zone from attacking you.

Epilogue

• Return to Kurn's Tower after completing Return to the Cursed Tower and a short cinematic will play after defeating Ione the Lifebringer that shows Kraytoc Killingfrost taking the mysterious golden orb from the corpse of Ione and sending a team of black rider bodyguards to kill the raid.
