• This is the former access quest for The Bastion of Flames, however it's completion is no longer necessary to enter the instance.

Steps

1. Kill Bastion keepers or Bastion stewards until you obtain the two auto-updates. Both are found around ( -165, -369, -218 ) Copy/waypoint -165, -369, -218.
2. Kill each type of fire-giant until you receive an auto-updating shard from each one. You may not receive an update immediately and may have to kill each type repeatedly until you get the update. The required mobs are:
   • A defender of Thyr
   • A diviner of Thyr
   • A pyreduke of Thyr
   • A guardian of Thyr
   • A magus of Thyr
   • A flamelord of Thyr
   • A protector of Thyr
   • A warlock of Thyr
   • A firelord of Thyr
3. Forge the efreeti bottle by clicking the first forge in the Forge of Thyr. ( -70, -625, -37 ) Copy/waypoint -70, -625, -37
4. Kill The Castigator. ( -276, -371, -95 ) Copy/waypoint -276, -371, -95
5. Kill 4 efreeti soulslavers. ( -275, -185, -120 ) Copy/waypoint -275, -185, -120
