Steps

You say, “Hail, Bilvee Hummingwing” Bilve hummingwing says to you, “<NAME>, the Stone of Sorrow has been revealing more words. I think it is attempting to speak to you!”

You say to Bilvee Hummingwing, “There is more to the fate of the Tree of Growth?”

Bilvee Hummingwing says to you, “I am not certain what the tale concerns. Do you grow hesitant over this?”

You say to Bilvee Hummingwing, “No, not at all. I’m eager to start this adventure!”

You receive 1 [Stone of Sorrow]

Bilvee Hummingwing, a fae concerned with the disease and destruction of the Wakened Lands in Eastern Wastes, returned to me the Stone of Sorrow. Apparently, it has been revealing more words for me.

The stone of Sorrow has more stories for me to learn.

The stone of Sorrow had more to say!

Examine the stone in your inventory

Before your very eyes, words begin etching themselves on the face of the Stone of Sorrow. It seems to have more stories to tell! “The Tree of Growth is no more, having been felled by the giants of Kael Drakkel, but something emerged from the soil during the cycles that followed that fateful day. A sapling, regenerated from the roots left deep within the soil, soon grew.”

“Unfortunately though, the severed connection to the Tunare’s Plane meant the arcane sapling, hungry to be nourished by the Plane of Growth, has had only the slag, waste, and poisons flowing out of Kael Drakkel to feed its roots. It is now a Tree of Blight! Dig around its roots to recover another blighted remnant of age’s past.”

Investigate the soil around the roots of the Tree of Blight

Soil is located at (LOC: -642, -453, 4,203 ) in Eastern Wastes

When you harvest the soil you will get the message “An entity of growth has been awoken!” and Gloomvine ^^^* 93 will attack you.

(Note: You can go to the next part without having to kill him. Gloomvine will despawn after a short while. If you missed him you may have to restart the quest.)

Examine the stone in your inventory

Before your very eyes, words begin etching themselves on the face of the Stone of Sorrow. It seems to have more stories to tell!

“The Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn, the defender of the glade’s blade, named after that glorious moment when an oasis of lush forest was opened before the eyes of all Velious, came to rest under the Tree of Growth after it was used to cut free a single Bloom.”

The Great Dragon was the given charge over the Bloom, by the Mother of Nature. What has become of the Bloom of Growth is unknown. The answer lies with its guardian. Inquire within the Emerald Halls, the last known lair of Wuoshi.”

The Emerald Halls: Woushi’s Fate is in Lesser Faydark (LOC: 162, 1, -643 )

A satyr named Krup will start talking to you as you pass by:

Krupp says to you, “Who goes there? Another come to gloat, I expect.”

You say to Krupp, “What are you going on about?”

Krupp says to you, “Woushi was only doing what he was entrusted to do – Keep the Bloom of Growth safe for the good of Norrath! But little did that matter to you or the rest of your treasure seeking ilk.”

You say to Krupp, “You must have me confused with someone else.”

Krupp says to you, “Bah! You are all the same! Admittedly, he was becoming more and more determined to keep the Bloom for himself and suspicious of everyone, even the Goddess of Growth’s own children and his fellow tenders, like myself. But that was no excuse! This would never have happened if he were allowed to live!”

You say to Krupp, “What happened?”

Krupp says to you, “See for yourself, traveler. Come, take a good look at the destruction mortal hands have wrought!”

You say to Krupp, “Okey.”

(Note: you get a discovery when you travel down the pass)
