It's working now. Just takes a good number of kicks, but it is indeed completable now.
5 Boxes. Smarmy Sprocket ( Commonlands)[]
Omg This is drivin me nuts! I have done what the wiki said about moving the boxes, the ones that are required to move to each side wont go or they will hover in the air! i spent 4 hours moving boxes! Same problem here, 27 March 2011. No matter what, I seem to only be able to pull the boxes towards me; trying to push them away results in them hovering in mid air, and none of them will move all the way to the edge. I remember doing this quest years ago, and can't imagine what would have broken the thing.
Same problem here 26 April 2011. Opened a ticket against the quest.
Same here-5/24/11- spent countless hours screaming about boxes and having the urge to break something.
