The main page recently had an anonymous addition that stated:
- You must complete the 'Welcome to Haven' quest before you will be given a citizenship quest in a new city, even if you have earned the required faction for the quest. It is a good idea to complete this quest in Haven before making the journey to your new city.
This addition to the betrayal timeline hasn't been seen since the timeline was first created and it seems questionable that such a key step would be left out for so long without anyone mentioning it. Is this quest necessary before beginning? If it is required, a FactOK tag will be unnecessary in the middle of the main article, but I think it would be helpful to have the conversation on the discussion page show that it was talked about and confirmed.--Kodia 11:42, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Betrayed my illy to a coercer today. Although I started the Welcome to haven quest, I never got anywhere near completing it. After getting enough freeport faction, I got send to north freeport, and got the doggy. After that I was send to Squire's Vale, and in the end to the coercer trainer, at which point I finished the betrayal. But I never completed the welcome to haven quest. If you betray from Neriak to Kelethin or the other way around, you do not have to be level 10. Once you are in Neriak or Kelethin, you will have to wait until level 10 to move to Qeynos or Freeport (and on to Gorowyn). There are quests each direction that a someone below level 10 can do, for the Kelethin ones I recommend getting the horse posts as soon as possible to make it safer to travel back and forth to the easiest of the quests (Kelethin: Basic Biodiversity - the one to put salt out on a rock near the Kelethin horse post) --Onattie 17:05, February 11, 2010 (UTC)
In addition, before betraying to Neriak *if you have just betrayed/changed citizenship*, you must get the "Dissatisfied with Kelethin" quest from Gibrien Marsden, the Kelethin Citizenship host.
