Previously, this was the only known quest for learning Thexian. Eventually, however, the language primer was made available for purchase.

You must find four symbols inside The Tombs of Night: Retribution:
- Symbol of Raet: Kill Rhayn T'Dax found in the passageway connecting the first level to The Maw of Mortality, at ( 54, -23, -101 ) Copy/waypoint 54, -23, -101.
- Symbol of Veth: Open the coffin at the very back of The Maw of Mortality at ( -84, -22, -62 ) Copy/waypoint -84, -22, -62.
- Symbol of Ythe: Examine a coffin slightly north of Nilith T'Feyd at ( -102, -24, -27 ) Copy/waypoint -102, -24, -27
- Symbol of Trev: Spawn and kill Dvith N`Zur at the base of The Forgotten Tears at ( 17, -41, 88 ) Copy/waypoint 17, -41, 88. To do this you must kill all the Neonate vampire found on this bottom level. Once every last one is dead, Dvith will spawn as an NPC hypnotized by nightmares of Dvith. Kill them and in a few moments Dvith will become an attackable mob.
