Bug! The following in-game bug has been reported to DBG:
If you fall down and try to attack Xuzl, he is always "out of range" sometimes. He might not lose the "root" he gets while he is summoning imps. If so, you might have to use the jets to attack from height or escape and try again.

Walkthrough[]

  1. Kill the first room.
  2. Head left/west and clear 3 rooms off the central chamber, including the Shards of Obsidian.
    • Step onto the platform where the Shards of Obsidian stood. When this is done, the platform gets an orange circle and a message appears in chat.
    • After all 3 rooms are done a brazier in the central chamber is raised.
  3. Go to the eastern chambers and repeat, 3 shards down, three orange circles activated.
  4. Jiva spawns at ( 0, -7, -78 ) Copy on the center platform. Kill him with ranged attacks if possible.
    • At 75% the platform sinks into the lava and Jiva gets a stoneskin.
    • 5 times, you get an emote about "memory seared into your mind" and a red ghost gargoyle will appear in a raised platform around the lava.
    • Stand IN the red ghost gargoyle to damage Jiva.
    • When one gargoyle is down, another one will spawn.
  5. Go west and touch the now lit brazier to get teleported.
  6. Kill the Shard of Obsidian249, 103, -125 ) Copyin the left alcove of the hallway. Continue along the hall.
  7. Kill Estryxia133, 103, -94 ) Copy. (it's helpful to clear the room first)
    • The Phoenix has to die 4 times.
    • Fire-wall will NOT hurt you. The damage of the named goes up each time you kill it, unless you "reset" the increments on the damage effect, by dragging it though the firewall.
    • Alternative: You can just raw damage this enemy if you have a healing merc or potions. Just avoid the other adds around the room.
  8. Use the door on the side ( 183, 103, -94 ) Copy to access another teleportation brazier, use to teleport to the next location.
  9. Kill the Shard of Obsidian-246, 103, -38 ) Copyin the east alcove of the hallway.
  10. Flame Tornados will spawn in the hallway, run into them and kill the efreeti baron of flames that spawn. You may need to run through both corridors several times.
  11. When all are dead, open the door at the 'south' end of the hallway. ( -148, 103, 24 ) Copy
  12. Kill So'Valiz
  • Notes: Power and Health Potions are handy if you are soloing. This can be done with a Mercenary. It is very Important, that you remember you entered the room on the South end, (You can use the door you entered as reference during the fight). You will need to know North and South locations during this fight, you can use your compass, it's just easier to remember the entrance door is South, there's a lot going on during this fight so one less thing you have to watch.
  • Enter the room, So'Valiz roams around the center of the room, there are also single mobs perched on the walls around the room. As soon as you enter the room to the left is a pillar with a circle around it on the floor, and 10 claws leaning out placed around the pillar on the circle. (Note notice the four markings on the circle, there located South, North, left and right if you stand in-between the wall and the pillar.) These make finding the activated claw easier.
  • Make yourself familiar with the room, locations North and South. Watch as So'Valiz circles the center of the room, when he gets to either the Left side or the Right side, run down the opposite side to the North end, watch out for the perched mobs, you can kill them if need be as So'Valiz circles slow. The North pillar is a mirror image of the South pillar. (Refer to Picture- File:So'Valiz Puzzle Room Layout).

      The Fight- During the fight, when So'Valiz health drops to 80%, 50% and 20% he will emote *Let us play a little game, shall we* then he becomes immune to damage, moves to the South end beside the pillar and is rooted in the air. Watch your chat window, because his next emote is important. He will now emote either * The Northern Claws must match the Southern Claws* or * The Southern Claws must match the Northern Claws* If the North Claws need to match the South Claws, run (use sprint) to the South pillar, note which Claws are now leaning in toward the pillar, return to the North pillar and match the claws to the South pillar. Works the same if the South Claws need to match the North Claws, run to the North pillar, note the claws leaning in, run to the South pillar and match them to the North pillar.     • If you try the wrong claw, it will damage you, but you can continue, to many wrong claws will kill you.
    • Important, when he emotes *The Northern Claws much match the Southern Claws* you have around 30 seconds to get it done, it not your die and it resets. If you look at the top of the pillars, there an orange ring, after he emotes it stats moving down, when it hits bottom, you die.
    • When he's at 80% you do 1 claw, 50% 2 claws and 20% 3 claws.
  • Use the door on the side ( -183, 103, -70 ) Copy to teleport to the "Central Brazier".
  • Kill Xuzl.
    1. At 90% he becomes damage immune and starts to spawn small imps. With enough initial dps, he dies in seconds bypassing the script.
    2. The glowing columns (jets?) in the center, over the grates, can knock you up to the flame pentagram on top
    3. Once up there, stand in the central area on a line of flame and, kill the Shard of Obsidian.
    4. Watch your step, always try to stand on a crossing of 2 lines of the pentagram so you don't fall down one once Shard of Obsidian is dead. Each shard removes its line from the pentagram.
    5. There are also swords up there and each falls as you defeat each shard.
    6. Once all 5 Shard of Obsidian are dead and all 5 swords fall down, you can either stay there until you move (if you have ranged you can still hit him), or fall down to get closer to attack him.
    7. A bug has been reported that if you fall down and try to attack him, he is always "out of range" sometimes. He might not lose the "root" he gets while he is summoning imps. If so, you might have to use the jets to attack from height or escape and try again.
    8. Click each flaming sword once to reduce Xuzl's damage reduction. Hit him with the biggest hits when all 5 swords are not on fire. the swords will catch fire again after about 20 seconds. Rinse and repeat clicking, then dpsing till he is dead.
  • Use the portal ( 0, 102, 9 ) Copy to the next area Corridor of the Eight.
  • Kill the 8 royal guard of Ro in the 8 outer alcoves. After each, click on the circle in the alcove. This allows you to have triangular pads in the next room to jump on so you can reach Sol Ro. You might not need all 8.
  • Use the teleporter in east or west. West is at ( 81, 224, -80 ) Copy
  • Speak to Solusek Ro
  • Speak to him again and he turns into epic x4 you need to dps him down to about 90%.
    • The jump across from the outer to the inner is almost impossible, you have to jump from the very edge to make it.
    • The platform around the edge of the room will kill you if you stand there to long, about 15 sec.
    • The center platform is merely damaging, to avoid it, use the sun rays.
    • The sun rays of the sun protect you, but will fall down after like 30 seconds. there is a warning before as well, but you can jump off early
    • Only 1 group member can stand on 1 sun ray (in case you duo it)
  • Eventually Solusek Ro will depart and the Avatar of the Sun appears.
    • You have 380 seconds to kill him. If you fail to kill him, you die.
    • The "sun rays" are still active.
  • When the Avatar dies a portal back to the Coliseum of Valor appears at
