What does this information mean?

Siyamak full

Siyamak, recently spawned in full dragon form at Outcast's Ledge near the Peacock Club entrance.

Information Known to Date Edit

With a little more than 500K in hitpoints, and a long-range cold-based AOE (Light of the Moon), it would seem that this dragon, one of two in Maj'Dul, is incredibly difficult to beat. He is not impossible to counter, however.

Spawn Siyamak in dragon form using A Silver Dragon scale‎ and a character on the appropriate step to kill him in the quest Capturing Day and Night. Hailing Siyamak in non-dragon form at the appropriate point in the quest turns him into an attackable dragon form and gives you the opportunity to kill him.

Hints on Defeating Edit

Members of RaidWiki have suggested that the healers of the raid that attacks Siyamak should be divided into two groups with one inside the monster's AoE range and one just outside the AoE range but still within healing range of the first healer group.

Reports on websites such as the now defunct OGaming website and several private guild websites suggest that positioning healers above the dragon on the rooftops (accessible up the nearby climbable walls) is the way to succeed because it allows line of sight on the dragon and the main tank while avoiding most of the main AoE spell damage.

Whichever method you choose to defeat this foe, keep in mind the following:

  • The non-attackable npc form of Siyamak spawns at roughly 2pm Norrathian time and despawns again at approximately 11pm (at night, hence, the name of the main quest Capturing Day and Night).
  • His main attacks are piercing-, disease-, and cold-based.
  • He is almost invulnerable against cold-based attacks, but can be damaged with heat, slashing, or piercing attacks.
