I've found a wooden staff that looks like it has seen better days. The markings on its burnt and charred surface seem to hint at some purpose beyond a normal walking stick.
Kill gloom snakes in the entrance tunnel ( -1, 12, 130 ) Copy/waypoint -1, 12, 129.5 and ( 7, 6, 91 ) Copy/waypoint 6.5, 5.5, 90.5 or in the first cavern west and north of The First Gate for 4 updates. Note: a murkwurm from the Pool will also work.
