Using the clockwork owlbear, collect 5 fresh owlbear eggs around ( -809, 86, 181 ) Copy/waypoint -809.46, 85.89, 181.27
Activate the clockwork owlbear when you are near the female elder ash owlbears. These are the larger, non-heroic versions. The ones that are heroic are the males and you will be unable to interact with them.
Make sure you're in a safe spot when you use the clockwork owlbear since you become the clockwork owlbear and any damage your character receives will break control.
Clockwork owlbear is very finicky and will not always work properly when you use it. If you get stuck on 'Initializing remote control function, please standby...', just keep using the item and eventually it will work properly. Try dismounting or getting in/out of combat if you get stuck on initializing for too long.
Run over to the female and target her. Nothing will aggro you, but remember you will need to get the egg afterwards, so pick a female towards the edge of the group.
Spam the 'Dance' abilities (buttons 1-4) in random order and after several seconds the female owlbear will either become an NPC and drop an owlbear egg, or become uninterested and in-game text will appear in your chat window stating: 'Your unoriginal dance seems to bore the owlbear, try mixing it up a little'. If the latter occurs, just keep spamming the 'Dance' buttons until the owlbear changes it's mind.
Both the female owlbear and your clockwork owlbear will not make any actual dancing moves, however.
Use ability #5 to dismiss the clockwork owlbear and resume your normal perspective.
