"The grobins used shrumbler slime to poison the water in the Amethyst Pond. Sentry Trillis believes that the spores from the small budlings tended by the Shroombas could counteract the slime, and he has asked me to collect some." -- Everquest II Journal

Shromba budling spore
- Collect shroomba budlings at the base of trees, mushrooms, and rocks near ( 139, -43, -643 )
- You may need to increase the quality of particles to see the green glow around budlings.
- Return to Sentry Trillis

- Sentry Trillis: "I knew it! Those filthy grobins must be poisoning the water source that nourishes the spirit blooms."
- Player Character: "We can't let anything happen to the blooms!"
- Sentry Trillis: "Hmm... looking at this water sample, it appears that the grobins were dumping shrumbler slime into the water. The shrumblers use that slime to break down their food, as well as attract other shrumblers, and it could easily poison the blooms!"
- Player Character: "So that's why the shrumbler hatchlings were attracted to the blooms!"
- Sentry Trillis: "Well, the Shroombas never have trouble with shrumblers. The spores of their budlings can kill shrumblers and neutralize their slime; like salt on a slug. If we had some of the spores, we could use it to dissolve the slime in the water and save the blooms. The budlings tend to sprout near groups of mushrooms."
- Player Character: "I will seek out the budlings."
Collect Shroomba budling spores.
Return to Sentry Trillis.
- Sentry Trillis: "We need those spores as soon as possible. Were you able to find them?"
- Player Character: "Yes. The Shroombas didn't seem to mind me harvesting the spores."
- Sentry Trillis: "Perfect! This is exactly what we needed to dissolve the slime away. Without this, the blooms would have withered and died on their stalks, and we would have been powerless to help. I can't thank you enough."
I have collected the spores I needed.
I was able to collect several Shroomba spores. Sentry Trillis should be able to use them to purify the pond water.
