Steps

1. Speak with Liddy Bobick in Rivervale. ( -77, -17, -14 ) Copy/waypoint -77, -17, -14
2. Seek out the the tavern "Food on Foot" in Rivervale and examine the little box on a shelf in the kitchen. ( -100, -25, -96 ) Copy/waypoint -100, -25, -96
3. Seek out "Kevlin's Gear" in Rivervale and examine a book on the bar. ( -41, -9, -168 ) Copy/waypoint -41, -9, -168
4. Seek out "Digg's Tall n Stout" in Rivervale and examine a book on the top shelf. ( -197, -18, -19 ) Copy/waypoint -197, -18, -19
5. Hunt corrupted brigands to gain the five keys. ( -189, 2, 171 ) Copy/waypoint -189, 2, 171
6. Visit Rivergate. ( -189, 0, 199 ) Copy/waypoint -189, 0, 199
7. Open the chest in the river nearby at ( -203, -9, 204 ) Copy/waypoint -203, -9, 204 and take the nautical journal Of Sea, Sails and Slumber from it.
8. Read the journal while standing close to the chest in the river.
   • You must examine the book while close to the chest in order for The Crossing of the Fanged Sea quest to update. Reading the book anywhere else only completes THIS quest and will not update The Crossing of the Fanged Sea until you come back to the chest and read the book again. If you didn't get an update during this quest, come back and read the book again or go back to Biddy Bobick in the Enchanted Lands and read the book in front of him.
