What does this information mean?
Overview[]
- You must be level 80 to enter!
- The location of the cave entrance that leads to the zone is at ( -300, 52, -1957 ) }}
- This is an AOE heavy zone; almost every encounter is 3-5 mobs ^ or ^^. If you can bring a warlock or other strong AOE classes, otherwise the zone will take much longer.
Walkthrough[]
First floor - Sacrificial Chamber[]
Proceed counter-clockwise, burning all the trash mobs you see. At "11:00" you'll find Bloodchief Tzabos. He fears and, if you take too long to kill him, teleports away and summons some fire elementals. Once he's down, climb the jag in the middle of the room and kill the two Drogan soldiers. This will cause Witch Doctor Bzegon to take off running towards the stairs in the southeast. He'll run past a Drogan horn blower. The horn blower will continuously summon trash mobs who'll come running down the stairs. Once he's dead, climb the stairs to the second floor.
Second floor - Chanting and Ritual Chamber[]
Again, clear all the trash. You'll have to drag the boss of this floor around the room, so it's even more important than usual to get all the trash.
The main boss of this floor is Bilthor. (He's a fire drake, but if you climb up to this floor before activating the Witch Doctor, his non-agro version is described as a fire wyvern for some reason). There are also two named Goblin ritualists, Gzaxr and Rbumk. The ritualists have an unbreakable damage absorption buff, and they'll revive Bilthor if you kill him first. You'll need to have Bilthor hit the ritulists with his Charring Breath to break their shields, then kill them, then kill Bilthor. Pull Bilthor to one of the ritualists (Gzaxr is closer to him), have the tank grab agro and get close enough to the ritualist to touch it. Once Bilthor starts casting Charring Breath, he'll quit moving. Have the tank run around behind him. The ritualists will speak if Bilthor breaks their shields - once they've done this, burn them - they won't fight back. Once the first ritualist is dead, go to the other side of the room and repeat this process on the other one. Once they're both dead, Bilthor can be killed.
Witch Doctor Bzegon will go running for the stairs when Bilthor is dead.
Third floor - Arcane Practice and Study[]
Clear the trash.
The key mob is ?. It's disguised as a harvestable shiny; clicking it to harvest it causes it to attack.
At the center of the room are a group of six crazed Drogan ritualists. Pull them to the edge of the room, kill them, and have each group member loot a Ghostly Channeler's Focus off them. It's a charm, usable from the inventory, so drag it to a hotbar. By the time you're done this, Crusader of Rok Nilok will have spawned.
The Crusader uses a self-buff that increases his DPS beyond what a level appropriate group can handle. Using the Ghostly Channeler's Focus will dispel the buff if he's cast it, and prevent him from casting it. When he says "Yes, my power is returning" you have a short window to use the charm. The debuff only lasts for 20 seconds and has a recast time of 3 minutes, so the trick is to properly rotate which group member uses the charm when.
Once he's killed, you can start making your way up the series of ramps and platforms.
Fourth "floor" - the ramps[]
Clear trash.
The boss of this floor is Bricktop. He casts two stoneskins on himself. They take twenty hits to be destroyed, or they can be dispelled. Older reports say that he has a knockback and that pulling him to the floor below and getting inside one of the tents will prevent this. I personally didn't experience it while spading. He has an ability "Heavy Brick Toss" that seems to do nothing.
Fifth floor - Blood Altar[]
Clear the trash. Be careful not to activate Bloodpriest Yak'Lar. Over to the right of the altar is the Chest.
Bloodpriest Yak'Lar has a few different tricks. Boil Blood is a DoT and debuff on one PC that also heals Yak'Lar. He has a power drain, and will occasionally hit for about 1.5k 7 to 8 times in a row. Lastly he can summon a party member and chain them to the altar, the chains are attackable and can be destroyed that way to free them. When he dies, two maniacal bloodletters spawn in the blood pools next to his altar.
The zone boss, Tuz'Rak, will sometimes teleport a PC to the altar, but when he does it they're also afflicted with a dangerous uncurable DoT. The chains can still be attacked. Once Tuz'Rak is down, you're done with the zone.
