Strategy

Using a pet with high hit points (Mage pet Earthen Avatar works well) to pull Mucus back to the bridge after killing the roamers has been successful, just use full burn and make sure that the tank taunts off of mage pet as it brings in Mucus. Do not try to fight him near the pool -- the small oozes spawn almost constantly and will add in en masse.
