Starting the Quest
Most Lore and Legend Quests can be started either with a book or by examining one of the quest items. Find the book, On The Origins Of Shadowed Men, using the location information above. Next, read the book, On The Origins Of Shadowed Men, flip through all the pages, and accept the quest. Once you have accepted the quest you may place the book in your house. You do not need the book to progress the quest.
Steps
- Find the following auto-updating pieces by killing Shadowed Men in any zone:
- a shadowman spirit
- a shadowman shadowed heart
- a shadowman collected darkness
- Find and examine the following tradeable pieces obtained by looting Shadowed Men in any zone, or buying them from other players
Rewards
- Trophy: The Pendulum
- Experience
- Your Master's Strike, Master's Smite, Master's Rage, or Sinister Strike will now affect Shadowed Men.
Special Notes
The book, On The Origins Of Shadowed Men, can be found at the following locations:
- In South Qeynos, a book on a small table beyond the red portal in the Concordium Tower, at ( 711, 41, 107 )
- In North Freeport, examine a blue book on a table on the second level of the Academy of Arcane Science, at ( 6, 8, -118 )
Note that the quest level shown in your journal will scale with your character level, up to level 50.
You can find Shadowed men in Enchanted Lands, Obelisk of Lost Souls and Nektulos Forest
- Note: In Nektulos Forest, Shadowed Men can be found immediately after the Hidden Trail and before entering Nektulos Forest proper. Make a left-hand turn before the brown mushroom and go straight ahead. Levels 24 - 25.
