Starting the Quest
Most Lore and Legend Quests can be started either with a book or by examining one of the quest items. Find the book, Orc Society (Version 2), using the location information above. Next, read the book, Orc Society (Version 2), flip through all the pages, and accept the quest. Once you have accepted the quest you may place the book in your house. You do not need the book to progress the quest.
Steps
- Find the following auto-updating pieces by killing Orcs in any zone:
- an orc spirit
- an orc brain
- an orc heart
- Find and examine the following tradeable pieces obtained by looting Orcs in any zone, or buying them from other players
Rewards
- Trophy: Fellfeather
- Experience
- Your Master's Strike, Master's Smite, Master's Rage, or Sinister Strike will now affect Orcs.
Special Notes
This book can be found in the following places:
- In The Commonlands, A shield in the tower at The Crossroads ( -433, -44, -282 )
- In Crushbone Keep, a weapon stand at ( 14, 0, 54 )
- In New Halas (specifically Pilgrim's Landing), kill Orcs to receive Orc smuggler requisition drops. These will offer the quest An Order of Orc Tongue.
Note that the quest level shown in your journal will scale with your character level, up to level 50.
Tips
In New Halas the Orcs in Pilgrim's Landing are very low level and can be killed en masse. Higher level are found in the Clefts of Rujark.
