Starting the Quest
Most Lore and Legend Quests can be started either with a book or by examining one of the quest items. Find the book, Know Your Golems (Version 2), using the location information above. Next, read the book, Know Your Golems (Version 2), flip through all the pages, and accept the quest. Once you have accepted the quest you may place the book in your house. You do not need the book to progress the quest.
Steps
- Find the following auto-updating pieces by killing Golems in any zone:
- a golem ambulatory fragment
- a golem core shard
- a golem essence trap
- Find and examine the following tradeable pieces obtained by looting Golems in any zone, or buying them from other players
Rewards
- Trophy: Earthblade
- Experience
- Your Master's Strike, Master's Smite, Master's Rage, or Sinister Strike will now affect Golems.
Special Notes
- From the entrance you need to travel round the pit, jump across into a tunnel, travel through the round room with the goos, through a room with some Servants of Varsoon, into corridors with some Golems, through a room past the undead tailors in the deep area of Ruins of Varsoon. A blue book on the short, tilted book shelf in the back of the room.( 10, 4, 69 )
- Note that the quest level shown in your journal will scale with your character level, up to level 50.
- If you're just mopping-up old L&L quests and don't care about the XP, then there are abundant Golems in the following locations:
- The Ruins of Varsoon - Go to the Thundering Steppes, then get a Griffen to The Ruins of Karana, and enter through the southern entrance at the bottom of Ruins of Karana. Lots of Clay Guardian golems roaming the halls of half the zone. Also, in the room ( 160, 8, 66 ) you can find some good drops among the alcoved Guardians.
