What does this information mean?

Requirements

• Must be level 7 of one Ascension class to start the quest
• Must complete Shattered Seas Timeline to get the update from Assistant Shortspanner
• Ability to speak Uruvanian
• Family Ties
• A Strange Black Rock for Glowing Black Stone needs to be in your inventory
• You must be a level 100 Artisan.

Steps

1. Speak with a researcher of arcane artifacts who has dealt with curses: -- Assistant Shortspanner in Tranquil Sea at ( 986, 27, 1088 ) Copy/waypoint 986, 27, 1088
2. Approach Aliena Belzia in Ssraeshza Temple (Heroic) in the northern room before killing the named, or you will need to return. The quest updates when you get close to her.
3. Find a way to help Aliena Belzia: After receiving the update, start clearing the zone bosses. The boss room order is South, East, Middle, North. Once you have killed Vathsis in the northern room, talk to Aillena again.
4. Gather:
   • a highly explosive item that can be trigged from within a shield -- Resonant umbrite from last named in Stygian Threshold (Heroic)
   • a shield spell which can withstand an explosion -- a diacoustic aquatic shield spell scroll from last named Black Bolt in Maldura: Algorithm For Destruction (Heroic).
   • an item that can cause the fragile umbrite crystals to explode via multi-layered high frequency sound waves -- see below
     1. Rub the lamp in The Shimmering Citadel at ( -287, 185, -71 ) Copy/waypoint -287, 185, -71 and talk to an Uruvan djinn (must speak Uruvanian)
     2. enter Tipple's Focus from Sinking Sands (4 known random spawn locations) for An ornate metal lamp (NOT the djinn lamp spawning there as well) - you will zone into Shimmering Citadel: the Empty Bottle.
        • Note: This step can be done at least by x2 raid and is worth considering to do so, since the lamp has a respawn time of 20min as soon as someone zoned in. As x2 raid each will get zoned into a own version of the zone and everyone can get the update.
     3. an inaudible harp can be harvested at ( 61, 1, -20 ) Copy/waypoint 61, 1, -20
5. Return to Bellengere the Three
6. Place the resonant umbrite and inaudible harp around the Blackscale rune cube, cast the a diacoustic aquatic shield spell scroll, and click the harp
7. Speak with Bellengere the Three again
   • Note: Before heading to Vesspyr Isles for the next step, make sure to have the Glowing Black Stone in your inventory. If you got rid of it after doing the quest, you can repurchase it from Shady Swashbuckler XVIII
8. Identify the creator of the Blackscale rune cube: Talk to Harla Dar in Vesspyr Isles at ( -102, 51, 740 ) Copy/waypoint -102, 51, 740
9. Find a way to get Karkona's attention:
   • Harvest purple shiny/cloud at ( -55, 53, 794 ) Copy/waypoint -55, 53, 794
   • Harvest a cracked spirital anchor in Vesspyr at ( -809, -46, 49 ) Copy/waypoint -809, -46, 49
   • Place scale in anchor at ( 214, 126, 792 ) Copy/waypoint 214, 126, 792 - this will spawn Karkona
10. Speak with Karkona.
11. At the end of the dialogue hail her again to present the Glowing Black Stone (from your inventory) to Karkona and update the quest
12. Return to Bellengere the Three in The City of Paineel
13. Speak with Lady Karkona in Paineel near Bellengere
14. Gather the following items:
    • Gather arcane object of draconic blood
      1. Go to Chardok
      2. Kill Sy'Vok the Scrollkeeper (Level 105 ^^^) around ( 850, -31, 221 ) Copy/waypoint 849.89, -30.65, 221.26
         • Sy'Vok the Scrollkeeper is invisible to people who aren't on the quest but will become visible as soon as you engage. He has a ton of hit points but isn't a hard fight. His main ability teleports you and makes it so you can't cast detrimental spells. I was able to trio it with 2 healers but it may be possible with just a healer as well.
      3. Collect 4 scrolls in the two rooms up the stairs from Sy'Vok the Scrollkeeper to the right and left. There are 2 scrolls in each room. You may only need a single scroll to advance the quest, my group split the scrolls 3 and 1 and both mages were able to advance to the next step.
      4. Zone in to Lair of the Haunts by clicking on the Moveable Stone Wall at ( -36, -58, 100 ) Copy/waypoint -36, -58, 100
      5. Kill Tombwatch L'Drykk at the bottom of Lair of the Haunts. There are solo mobs along the way that only people on the quest can see. This mob appears to be a copy of the Scrollkeeper.
      6. Harvest the Dragon Blood Shard on top of chest at ( -438, -117, 1 ) Copy/waypoint -438, -117, 1 (looks like a scepter)
    • Gather arcane object of draconic breath
      • Harvest Urn of Dragon Breath in Lost City of Torsis: Reaver's Remnants (Solo) (or (Heroic)) in the hidden room at ( 10, -5, -1205 ) Copy/waypoint 10, -5, -1205 looks like a big vase (a previously cleared instance does not seem to work)
    • Gather arcane object of draconic destruction
      • Harvest the Wand of the Wurmslayer in Crypt of Dalnir: Baron's Workshop (Heroic) in the sarcophagus with the mirror at ( -144, 27, 50 ) Copy/waypoint -144, 27, 50
15. Return to Lady Karkona in The City of Paineel (gives you recipe)
16. Craft the Dragon's Tongue Staff (level 100 combine):
    1. Get a Shadebark for the combine
    2. Go to Kaesora: Xalgozian Stronghold (Heroic) (You can invis your way through).
    3. Harvest one Asmyx (greenish rocks on the floor and can only be found in a fresh instance)
       • example locations: ( -155, 32, 433 ) Copy/waypoint -154.52, 31.79, 432.56, ( -185, 36, 432 ) Copy/waypoint -184.91, 36.25, 431.87, ( -170, 32, 494 ) Copy/waypoint -169.67, 31.79, 493.88 ( -409, -1, 478 ) Copy/waypoint -408.94, -1.47, 478.19, etc.
    4. Craft the Dragon's Tongue Staff at the Ancient Arcane Workbench at ( -563, -17, 410 ) Copy/waypoint -563, -17, 410
17. Talk to Lady Karkona in The City of Paineel
    • Note: The rune cube appears to be attackable as soon as you get to Lady Karkona. Make sure you talk to her before you attack it.
18. Destroy the rune cube (with the staff equipped). It regens HPs fairly quickly so don't expect to just hit it once and have it die.
19. Talk to Lady Karkona again
20. Talk to Bellengere the Three
