Formerly one of the major military establishments of the First Iksar Empire, Karnor's Castle has been perverted to a drolvarg fortress from which the savage beasts send out raiding parties into The Dreadlands, snatching up any foolish adventures who wander too close. For what twisted purpose, no one knows...
Lore[]
As with most Sebilisian strongholds, Karnor was named after a hero of the Iksar Empire. It was most likely constructed around 825 A.G. by order of Emperor Venril Sathir. It was during this time that the Sebilisian Empire was involved in a vast campaign of slaughter and subjugation. This was known as the First Slaves' War, a war to enslave the Kromdul Giants and Frogloks. Fortress Karnor was built to contain the Iksar army in the southwest territory of Kunark. It was designed to withstand the pummeling of hurled boulders that you might find departing from the hands of an enraged giant. All aspects of Karnor were designed to either withstand or contain the Kromdul.
Although Karnor was one of the most formidable fortresses in Kunark, it would eventually be toppled by the might of the Kromdul who had been integrated into a massive giant army commanded by the giant hero, Warslik. But Karnor would not remain in ruins forever. Hundreds of years would pass and Venril Sathir would return to occupy the fortress to yet again plague the giants with his evil.

Notes[]
- This dungeon has 15 named bosses, many of them will be challenging for players in their low 70's and they drop level 80 armor and jewelry. If you are primarily interested in leveling quickly and obtaining gear for your character in the 70s, completing the solo quests in Kylong Plains and Fens of Nathsar would be preferred to grinding experience in this dungeon.
- Most of the named bosses have high amounts of health and will deal more damage than other heroics of a similar level. The drolvarg are social and you can find yourself overwhelmed if you do not pull carefully. Players under level 75 will likely find this dungeon difficult to solo, even with a mercenary. If you are using a mercenary, be aware that pathing can be problematic in parts of the dungeon, particularly when going up or down stairs. If you jump from the upper floor down to the lower floor or into the water, be sure to set your mercenary to passive first.
