Starting the Quest

Speak with Captain R.K. Irontoe in Kelethin, at ( 136, 112, 98 ) Copy/waypoint 136, 112, 98 . He offers a great deal of lore, and many different conversation paths. After introducing yourself and exchanging common pleasantries, the responses that get you to the quest are as follows:

1. What did Kaladim do during the War of Fay?
2. What were trolls and ogres doing in The Lesser Faydark?
3. Did the trolls and ogres stop the dwarven brigades?
4. What happened at the Battle of Brute Hill?
5. So they managed to reach Kelethin and rescue the city?
6. The dark elves burned the forest?
7. What about Felwithe, home of the high elves?
8. So the gnomes and their machines freed Felwithe.
9. What else occurred in the Siege of Felwithe?
10. Were there any significant dwarven battles in Greater Faydark?
11. Please forgive my wording. I just wondered if there were any dwarven historical sites nearby.

13. Where was this place?
14. These elven maidens returned to aid the ones that once suppressed their right to fight?

Steps

1. Interact with the monument, The Battle at Burning Roots in Greater Faydark. ( -299, 18, -54 ) Copy/waypoint -299, 18, -54 
2. Gather 10 dwarven war artifacts found around the memorial. This is ground spawn and does not actually go into your inventory. (Note : as of 09/16/24 it appears you only need 1 artifact).
3. Return to Captain R.K. Irontoe in Kelethin and give him the artifact.
4. Inspect a strongbox in one of the caves within Dyer Mycoria. ( 3, -43, -295 ) Copy/waypoint 3, -43, -295 
5. Inspect another strongbox (which looks like an attackable creature strongbox) in a tent on Orc Hill. ( 284, 61, -143 ) Copy/waypoint 284, 61, -143 
6. Examine a scroll in another tent on Orc Hill. ( 254, 67, -182 ) Copy/waypoint 254, 67, -182 
7. Kill Crushbone invaders for 3 uncommon auto-updates.
8. Ring the gong on Orc Hill. ( 287, 61, -154 ) Copy/waypoint 287, 61, -154 
9. Find and defeat Crushbone spies:
   • Look for the reddish sparkles and the mouseover infobox, orc scribbling, which mark the spawn. See the discussion page for more info.
   • By the passageway to Butcherblock Mountains, at ( 746, 14, -71 ) Copy/waypoint 745.99, 13.99, -70.57 . He spawns on top of the root above your head, so look up if you can't find him. You may receive the message "The orc spy has not reached his post yet", which means you may need to wait a few minutes.
   • Along a branch leading off of Old Kelethin platform, at ( 155, 111, 79 ) Copy/waypoint 154.98, 110.85, 79.11 .
   • Underneath Memorial Hill, at ( -178, 4, -15 ) Copy/waypoint -177.74, 3.71, -15.06 .

10. 

    a Brook Patch toadstool

    Speak to The Mushroom King, at ( -145, -9, 142 ) Copy/waypoint -144.78, -9.38, 141.77 .
11. Go to Tunare's Glade ( -252, 36, 363 ) Copy/waypoint -252, 36, 363  and:
    • Collect 10 Brook Patch toadstools (they do NOT show up using Track Harvestables but do show up on Tracking).
    • Kill 20 Fayflies.
12. Retun to The Mushroom King and he will give you the shrool dust.
13. Sprinkle the dust on the strongbox on Orc Hill. ( 284, 61, -143 ) Copy/waypoint 284, 61, -143 
14. Examine the Dwarven ringmail plans.
15. Find the nine copies by killing various orcish military leaders and their personnel:
    • First: a Sullon Brigade warsmith ( -655, 80, -257 ) Copy/waypoint -655, 80, -257
    • Second: a Vallon Brigade warsmith ( -750, 70, -75 ) Copy/waypoint -750, 70, -75
    • Third: a Derris Brigade warsmith ( -840, 97, 10 ) Copy/waypoint -840, 97, 10
    • Fourth: a Tallon Brigade warsmith ( -1080, 115, 205 ) Copy/waypoint -1080, 115, 205
    • Fifth: a Gullon Brigade warsmith ( -1392, 116, 175 ) Copy/waypoint -1392, 116, 175
    • Sixth: Crushbone Expedition Leader ( -741, 80, -194 ) Copy/waypoint -741, 79.72, -194
    • Seventh: Crushbone Expedition Chef ( -778, 90, -262 ) Copy/waypoint -778, 90, -262
    • Eighth: Crushbone Expedition Weaponsmith ( -790, 88, -216 ) Copy/waypoint -790, 88, -216

16. Enter Crushbone Keep and inspect four chests inside the first room. If you're looking forward from the zone-in, two chests are on the right, and two chests are the left.
17. Return to Captain R.K. Irontoe in Kelethin. ( 136, 112, 98 ) Copy/waypoint 136, 112, 98
