What does this information mean?
Hundar the Punisher is an optional boss who only spawns under specific conditions. After defeating The Achiole, up the ramp to the central part of the inner temple (where the Pool of Dread is located) are a group of herioc amygdalans. In that group is an amygdalan ritual master, along with amygdalan lurkers, spirit summoners and several others. As soon as that group is engaged, you will get the message "The Ritual is complete. Protect me and it will arrive to slay the interlopers."
If the ritual master is killed within the next 40 seconds, Hundar will not spawn. However, if the ritual master is left alive for 40 seconds, Hundar will spawn and you'll get the message "Insolent worms, now you shall feel the wrath of Hundar, the Punisher!"
Notes[]
- Hundar and his adds are a different encounter from the group of amygdalans; however, he will immediately engage anyone who is on the ritual master's threat list.
