EQ2i FanFaire 2008 award

WOOT! We won!--Kodia 12:51, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Grats to you all. Who gets/where is kept the actual plaque? Janze-Nek ComsCons 13:12, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Right now Uberfuzzy has the plaque and will likely be taking it to the Wikia.com offices to show them when he visits in the near future. After that, I believe he'll send it to me so we can get some high quality photos of it.--Kodia 13:22, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Fantastic! It's nice too see all that keyboard mashing result in a nice award! Jevangal 14:27, 30 September 2008

really good to see all the efforts and hard work of all the people do pay off finally ;-) Did anyone notify Ewil about this already? I think he also deserves a big hand as it was his creation. --Xinturaia 09:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Nope, we haven't. He hasn't been truly active on the wiki in so long (since before the move to Wikia.com) that I have to admit it completely slipped my mind. If you know how to get ahold of him I think it might be nice to send a nod in his direction, yes. But honestly I don't know how to get in contact with him.--Kodia 11:44, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Is there any chance of an actual article getting written on this? What is Living Legacy (in relation to the award); who got to vote, how and when; voting results (numbers or percentage, if known), include other sites that were elected; who presented it, where, when and to whom (actual user); examples of other awards like this one; dimensions of the plaque (or a photo of it being awarded for size comparison), where it will end up and why (more wall space?). Then maybe you could make a user box with a laurel wreath saying, "This editor helped make eq2i an award-winning site!" and link the words "award-winning" to the article. If we are allowed to brag about in-game epic quests, we should be allowed to brag about this. Janze-Nek ComsCons 12:56, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

All excellent ideas and we'd be overjoyed if someone wanted to start one. We can certainly do some digging into this and find out more information. From the administrative perspective, we have only how we were contacted and who has the award, to be truthful. But perhaps we can do some asking at the SoE level to get more information for the users. Thanks for the suggestions.--Kodia 13:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Wow, I didn't notice until now. Great job guys :-) Ewil 07:22, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

Yep. Thanks for kicking us out of the nest and starting us down the path!--Kodia 21:54, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
