- Named for Fipppy Darkpaw a legendary gnoll warrior who used the hill as a vantage point to attack passerbys and plot raids on Qeynos.
- The Darkpaw Gnolls will often use Fippy's name as a battle cry or allude to him when they see a fellow Darkpaw fall in combat, saying, "Go with Fippy, fallen one!"
