Starting the Quest

1. Return to the Feerrott for four trackable clues. (nearest port is the druid ring)

2. I need to pick up the trail again. Head to the Barren Sky (use the Spire next to you after the step above).

   2. a berry-stripped bush: ( -628, 243, -152 ) Copy/waypoint -628, 243, -152 on Cloudmist Isle

3. Dolas sends you to find his crown in Nye'Caelona. Head there and find a Nye'Caelona Custodian ( -173, 91, -163 ) Copy/waypoint -173, 91, -163 wandering on the top level of the city. In stealth, pickpocket a key (via-right click). Must be directly behind.
4. Dismount and USE (Right Click) the key in your inventory to teleport to the chancellor's throne room.
5. In stealth, pickpocket the display key from the wandering guard captain.

6. 

   Dolas' Crown (once you have key from guard)

   Use the display key to unlock the display and obtain the crown.
7. Return to Dolas' former location in Barren Sky: ( 536, 308, -645 ) Copy/waypoint 536, 308, -645 on Isle of Desolation. Examine the blood you find.
8. I need to pick up on Dolas' trail again. He appears to be bleeding. Head to the Bonemire (click on the Spires at ( -478, 293, -539 ) Copy/waypoint -477.77, 292.74, -538.70.
   1. more blood: ( -834, -437, 360 ) Copy/waypoint -834, -437, 360 on Shattered Weir.
   2. a blood smear: ( 199, 183, -387 ) Copy/waypoint 199, 183, -387 on Cacotoxic Stain.
   3. fresh blood: ( -97, -74, -582 ) Copy/waypoint -97, -74, -582 on Carrion Briar.
   4. Speak to Dolas to the east of the last update at ( -253, -73, -596 ) Copy/waypoint -253, -73, -596
9. Dolas sends you to collect four items.
   1. Blessed Mineral Water from New Halas in Frostfang Sea) at ( 71, 147, -51 ) Copy/waypoint 71, 147, -51
   2. purple calendula from Cobalt Scar at ( 5628, -1015, 738 ) Copy/waypoint 5628, -1015, 738 a plant atop a cliff.
   3. a marble mortar and pestle from Tranquil Sea at ( -677, 8, 289 ) Copy/waypoint -677, 8, 289 in a pygmy hut.
   4. desert limestone from Pillars of Flame at ( -46, -43, -542 ) Copy/waypoint -46, -43, -542
      • Note: This spawns a L107 heroic golem. Come prepared. Assure you loot tiny chest that drops desert limestone.
10. Return to Dolas in The Bonemire on Carrion Briar at ( -253, -73, -596 ) Copy/waypoint -253, -73, -596
11. Craft the Item
    1. Scribe the Cae'Dal Poultice recipe he gives you.
       • Requires a shadeweave root
       • level 100 in Artisan.
    2. Place the mortar on the ground near Dolas
    3. craft the combine
    4. Give a Cae'Dal Poison Poultice to Dolas.
12. Find a dark rider in Phantom Sea at ( 271, 0, 1012 ) Copy/waypoint 271, 0, 1012. Approach him so that he despawns.
13. Open track and find "Inquisitor Foust" nearby. ( 283, 51, 1062 ) Copy/waypoint 283, 51, 1062
    • Note: to update the quest you must have completed the entire Shattered Seas Timeline
14. Find my black spot - This is obtained by completing a class-specific collection quest:
    • Assassin - Assassin's Self-Realization

      

    • Beastlord - Beastlord's Self-Realization
    • Brigand - Brigand's Self-Realization
    • Dirge - Dirge's Self-Realization
    • Ranger - Ranger's Self-Realization
    • Swashbuckler - Swashbuckler's Self-Realization
    • Troubadour - Troubador's Self-Realization
    • Note: The locations vary by class, and are semi-random. The shinies are purple and trackable. Only one spawns at a time on approximately a 5 minute timer. Spawn points are shared by collection members.
15. With your infamous deed in hand, return to Inquisitor Foust in Phantom Sea at ( 283, 51, 1063 ) Copy/waypoint 283, 51, 1063.
16. Inquisitor Foust sends you into Ossuary of Malevolence (Contested) in the Phantom Sea at ( 696, 53, 770 ) Copy/waypoint 696.22, 53.01, 769.57 to obtain five uncommon treasure chest drops from trash mobs.
    • I need the bones of a Primordial Malice cultist.
      • From Primordial Malice cultists in the west wing.
    • I need the blood of a Primordial Malice cultist.
      • From Primordial Malice cultists in the west wing.
    • I need a lump of rotting flesh.
      • One drop from a flesh construct in the west wing.
    • I need a death shroud.
      • One drop from a skeletal terror in the east wing.
    • I need a runed skull.
      • One drop from a skeletal obscenity in the east wing.
17. Return to Inquisitor Foust in Phantom Sea at ( 283, 51, 1063 ) Copy/waypoint 283, 51, 1063. He will give you a Visage of Malice recipe that you must scribe, then head to the dark elf village Ghorkaal to the west of his location. Use a cauldron ( 806, 45, 927 ) Copy/waypoint 806, 45, 927 to craft the Visage of Malice. This will require a shadowstone ore rare.
    • Note: If you have lost any of the components, a chest will appear nearby the cauldron. Click it to be given replacements.

18. 

    The Grand Inquisitor's Chapel Pillow

    Head to the Cathedral of Bone: The Grand Inquisitor's Chapel at ( 730, 48, 786 ) Copy/waypoint 730, 48, 786 in order to slay the Grand Inquisitor.
    1. Use the Visage of Malice as soon as you zone in. Head down the second short flight of stairs and to the left to find a skull on a pillow at ( 12, 2, 141 ) Copy/waypoint 12, 2, 141 to despawn the golems.
       • As of nov2023, quest updates even with entire zone grey.
       • Note: If they are not removed, they join the Grand Inquisitor in combat.
    2. Kill one name in each of the west and east wings.
       • Castigator Falkus ( 495, 0, -22 ) Copy/waypoint 495, 0, -22
       • Organist Deherin ( -505, 0, -24 ) Copy/waypoint -505, 0, -24
    3. Kill the Grand Inquisitor in the middle wing.
       • Note: This zone is relatively difficult, but mercenaries are allowed and you can zone in other classes via Call of the Veteran. Not a group zone in for scouts, each scout must click on the coffin to zone in (or use Call of the Veteran). With five scouts the two epic x4 red golems were manageable and killable even without despawning them.
19. Return to Inquisitor Foust in Phantom Sea at ( 283, 51, 1063 ) Copy/waypoint 283, 51, 1063. He will give you Foust's Magical Leash.
20. Head to Nektulos Forest and find a dark rider just south of N'Mar's Ascent ( -369, 12, -1214 ) Copy/waypoint -369, 12, -1214, on the road. Dismount, run up to him and get aggro, cast the leash and some Ca's, until the duration of the leash runs out or he ports you to Fens of Nathsar outside of Kurn's Tower.
21. Using the cave entrance at ( -1847, -375, -1689 ) Copy/waypoint -1847, -375, -1689, locate and speak to Foreman Fluff ( -1855, -387, -1813 ) Copy/waypoint -1855, -387, -1813 near the zone-in location to Kurn's Tower, in the tunnel just below Kurn's Tower.
    • Note: Requires Kurn's Tower Access Timeline until you get access in order to see the foreman.
22. Foreman Fluff agrees to help you gain entry into Kurn's Tower in exchange for some shinies:
    1. Golden Belt of the Unseen: Sold by a dark talon merchant in Halls of the Unseen at ( 169, -4, 59 ) Copy/waypoint 169, -4, 59 for 66p 3c.
       • Note: Requires The Means to an End and 50,000 faction with The Circle of the Unseen Hand. Even if you have the bauble you need the HQ for the merchant to appear.
    2. Golden Necklace of Rime: Sold by Vassava Kilka in Jarsath Wastes at ( -737, -46, 1910 ) Copy/waypoint -737, -46, 1910 for 504p 20c.
       • Note: Requires The Order of Rime Timeline and 50,000 faction with The Order of Rime. With the Guise of Pursuit you do NOT need to do the Rime Timeline.
       • Talk to Brind ( -313, -46, 1401 ) Copy/waypoint -313, -46, 1401 on the Jarsath Wastes docks, and choose the 1st option to be sent to the Deepwater Circle boat, the merchant will be on the boat.
    3. Gold Encrusted Pearl Ring: Clickable bucket in Cobalt Scar at ( 4258, -1094, 2050 ) Copy/waypoint 4258, -1094, 2050.
       • Note: Requires Cobalt Scar Timeline through High Tide.
    4. Gold Laced Cloak of Nighmarish Depths: Uncommon chest drop from Abyssral in Kralet Penumbra: Submerged Lair (Event Heroic).
    5. Golden Shackle of Mist: Common chest drop from The Mist Reaver in Lost City of Torsis: The Shrouded Temple (Event Heroic).
23. Return to Foreman Fluff. He will give you an explosive barrel.
24. Place the barrel at the marked location at the large rock ( -2006, -353, -1801 ) Copy/waypoint -2006, -353, -1801 just east of Kurn's Tower. An entrance will appear leading to Kurn's Tower: The Locket.
25. Enter Kurn's Tower: The Locket. Proceed through the tunnel and climb up the wall. Head to the right, avoiding the guards, and find the gold piles. The chest is behind the throne chair ( 94, 3, 13 ) Copy/waypoint 94, 3, 13 Dolas' Mother's Locket. Loot it. Note: the guards can be avoided but will one shot you if seen.
26. Return to the Bonemire. Dolas has left, but he has left a small bag behind at ( -253, -73, -597 ) Copy/waypoint -253, -73, -597. Click the bag to finish the quest.
