Faydwer is a continent in the northeast of Norrath. It is home to Gnomes, Dwarves, Wood Elves, and Fae. The route to Faydwer was lost during the The Shattering, but has since been rediscovered. Faydwer owes it's name to the High Elves who relocated here after the continent of Antonica was destroyed and they settled in the Faydark Forest, erecting the fabled city of Felwithe.
Faydwer is primarily a wooded continent, with forests spanning three-fifths of its territory. From deep within these high trees, the Fae city of Kelethin stretches along the canopy. To the west of this immense forest, the dwarven homeland of Butcherblock Mountains rises to even greater heights than its arboreous neighbor. To the southeast rests the Steamfont Mountains, ancient homeland to the gnomes, unfortunately completely taken over by the clockwork who sought fit to claim the land as their own in the gnomes' absence. In the shadow of all Faydwer's natural beauty lies the Loping Plains, homeland to the vampires, which stains an otherwise serene landscape.
Uniquely blessed by Tunare, Goddess of Growth, Faydwer has lasted for countless ages, and will forever remain a natural wonder.
