You may not receive all of the tectonic fragments needed for this quest on one run through the zone.
The quest is listed as heroic but can be soloed
You receive an Inert Vegarlson Purifying Rune when you click on the corrupted air to start the quest.

Take the teleporter at ( 260, -20, -285 ) Copy/waypoint 260, -20, -285 to the Elemental Portal Gallery. Use the portal at ( 774, 412, -335 ) Copy/waypoint 774, 412, -335 and enter Vegarlson: Council's Stronghold [Solo].
Progress through the zone. (See Vegarlson: Council's Stronghold [Solo] for strategies).
Kill mudglops and vekerchiki to obtain 19 tectonic fragments.
- The drops are uncommon. One is dropped for each party member.
Use the Inert Vegarlson Purifying Rune from the quest helper to recieve the Imbued Vegarlson Purifying Rune.
Proceed through the rest of the zone and kill the Council of Four at ( 1340, 784, 39 ) Copy/waypoint 1340, 784, 39
- Note that you cannot log out during this zone. If you do, the Stones of Thudos in the zone will respawn, preventing you from opening any door leading higher.
Use the Portal to Heart of Thudos that appears at ( 1501, 784, 42 ) Copy/waypoint 1501, 784, 42.
Click on The Thudos Corestone at ( -216, 113, 160 ) Copy/waypoint -216, 113, 160 to cleanse the The Thudos Corestone of the errant elemental aspects.
