- Collect 3 hardened scales from Shockspines found in Aether Wroughtlands
- Hardened scales are a random drop in a small chest from shockspines in Aether Wroughtlands in the Fiddtan Crest area ( -473, 218, 568 )
- Gather or purchase 10 direbeak hides found in Ballads of Zimara areas.
- Common harvest from animal dens
- Can buy off broker
- Just having them in inventory when you get the quest will count
- Return to Herald of the Wintry Guardian ( 75, -35, -1687 ) in Everfrost
