These are rare body drops from trash mobs in Splendor Sky Aerie that will show quest indicator by their name. Good chances from a metallic tainted auduborian, a floral devourer, a beetle crab.
These are group updates
You will spend on average 15 minutes getting to and collecting shards
Afterwards you take those shards to a shrine in Everfrost, shrine spawns in random spot in that zone.
This is NOT a group update.
One person clicking the altar will cause the altar to disappear and reappear in another location
It is not clear if there is only ever one altar in the zone that is moved by other groups
It may be possible to click simultaneously to get a group update
You may spend as much as 30 minutes tracking down an altar to click
