General informationEdit

Accessed via the main door to Court of Truth after completing the access quest. After the access quest has been completed, the instance can be entered freely.

Killing the boss sphinx of the zone awards Ishara's piece of a broken medallion as body loot. This medallion piece is needed for the quest The Courts of Maj'Dul: Of Fate and Destiny.

Progression through the zoneEdit

When you enter the zone, there will be three non-attackable Coin guards in front of the door. These guards will turn attackable (lvl 56^^) as you get closer to them. To the right in a little side room there is a lvl 55^^^ cyclops which can be skipped.

After killing the guards there is a group of 4 lvl 55^ goblins in the next room, and after that a 56^^^ sabertooth in the same room.

To the left from this room you will find stairs. At the top of the stairs and down the way there are several groups of ^^ guards, and a single ^^^ monkey at the bottom.

At the bottom in the large room you will find Altairenanhk, an aggro level 57^^^ sphinx.

Sphinx mechanicsEdit

The boss of the zone is Altairenanhk. When you get it to 80% health, it will depop and repop as a non-attackable NPC. A random player in zone will be chosen, declared by Charactername has been chosen.

The player who has been chosen will have to stay relatively close to the NPC and answer the question it asks. The questions are riddles, with dialogue options as answers to choose from.

The right answer is followed by the text response Success is rewarded. Taking too long to answer (about 15 seconds) or picking the incorrect answers results in Failure is punished. Success means the sphinx will repop as attackable at 80% health. Failure results in the sphinx repopping at 100% health with some adds.

After each successive riddle, you must damage the sphinx an additional 20% from the previous attempt. Each riddle (HP threshold) of the sphinx will also drop a chest. After four riddles (regardless or whether or not they were correctly answered) you can actually kill the sphinx and receive the medallion from its corpse.
