Mercenary (NPC Type)

Mercenaries are a type of NPC that players can hire to engage in battle with them.

They come from many sources that include:

• Found in the world (uncommon in 2016)
• From completing quests (e.g. a mercenary version of Qho Augren)
• From special promotions, like Veteran Rewards or buying special editions of game expansions.
• From the Marketplace and hired using the Rogues Gallery.
