The drolvarg were once a group of iksar led by the shaman Thuuga Dengible, the Serpent Chief. They lived in a place known only as the city of Drolakis. Venril Sathir used what is now known as the Amulet of Drolakis to focus a curse of lycanthrophy onto the unsuspecting city, cursing every iksar within to change into a drolvarg.

Unlike regular lycanthropy, the curse set upon by Venril Sathir was permanent. These were-iksar could never change back to their original selves and over time gained the mentality of savage beasts.
