Having the Gods returned to Norrath, players can choose one to worship. In return for their obediance, the player will be rewarded, most notably with blessings and miracles, which are temporary but powerful abilities. In order to gain access to blessing and miracles, the play must complete the questline for a particular deity. For each completed quest, one tier of blessing and miracle is unlocked. To use a blessing or miracle, the player must spend that deity's Favor, and the spell will be added to their Knowledge (spell book). Favor is categorized as Faction, and can be checked in the player's faction tab. The player can only have one blessing and one miracle active at any one time. Once learned, the blessing or miracle will have two charges and a one hour cooldown. After the questline for a deity has been completed, in order to gain additional Favor, the player must make offerings at their deity's altar, usually in the form of treasured equipment.
If you choose to renounce your current deity, return to their deity historian or prophet and click on the nearby altar. You will permanently lose all currently accrued Favor with that deity. If you desire to return to a deity that you had previously renounced, speak again with their deity historian or prophet. You will not have to repeat the questline.
Below is a table showing the rewards for completing a quest in a deity's questline:
