- Enter Solusek Ro's Tower: From the Ashes [Tradeskill] at ( 95, 3, -165 ) in Coliseum of Valor.
- Move to ( 0, -7, -42 ) .
- Speak with The Immolated Lexicon at ( 0, -5, -99 ) .
The Immolated Lexicon
- A floating tome on the dais.
- use the Summon Immolated Lexicon ability.
- Click on and translate the runes on the walls in the room and side rooms. Continue clicking until you get the recipe.
Translate Runes
- Some locations: ( 16, -7, -108 ) ( 5, -7, -106 ) ( -5, -7, -106 ) ( -15, -7, -108 )
- After translating the last rune, you receive Recipe: Obsidian Incubation Vessel (auto-scribed)
- Collect the following:
- 12 condensed magma from lava pools.

- They are found in the area near the entrance and at ( 133, 110, -81 ) . There are only three nodes in the entrance area, but they respawn quite quickly. Just go get your mephit poop and come back.
- They can also appear in the lava pool where the phoenix spawns ( 139, 110, -81 ) .
- 6 sulphur ash shed by scavenging mephits
Sulphur Shed
- Go through the doors to the east at ( -100, -6, -102 ) .
- The hostile Mephits periodically spray a cone of fire, leaving a small heap of burning sulfur on the floor that you can harvest.
- Harvesting the Sulphur Shed damages you.
- Don't get too close to the mephits, for they can and will kill you.
- 15 obsidian shards from fallen drakes.
- Click an emberscale flamewing to mine them for their 3 shards.

- They can be found in the side rooms downstairs, but there will only be 9 shards, plus aggro from the mephits.
- Click on the brazier at ( -136, -8, -102 ) and teleport to The Burning Roost. After teleporting, follow the hallways north and east to a big room with dead drakes and giants. Mine all the drake shards needed here.
- Click an emberscale flamewing to mine them for their 3 shards.
- 12 condensed magma from lava pools.
- Next you have to craft the incubation vessel.
- For this you need the Wall of Elemental Fire in The Infernal Chamber.
- From The Burning Roost (big room with the cauldren) just click the brazier at ( 196, 103, -94 ) to teleport.
- Go to the Wall of Elemental Fire on the other side of the room, avoiding the grates!

- Now 'just' click on the appropriate section of the Wall of Elemental Fire to do the combines. (Don't click on the ground or base)
- Fire the incubation vessel in the spouts of flame in Arlyxir's room:
- To do this you need to stand on one of the grates (e.g. ( 0, 102, -80 ) ) in the middle as it lights up. Repeat four times.
- Each firing will throw you into the air, and you will take massive (~80-90%) damage. Heal as needed.
- Unless you happen to be naked, in which case you may not take any damage...
- Warning: Don't get knocked into the flame walls or lava, you'll die.
- Collect Arlyxir's Ashes within the newly created vessel. Harvest from pile of glowing ashes in center of Arlyxir's room, at ( 10, 105, -81 ) .

- It is a very long (and amusing) harvest.`
- Use the brazier at ( 0, 103, -123 ) to come back to the room where the cauldron stands in the middle (The Burning Roost room).
- Go up the flaming ramp (no damage) on the West side of the cauldron and stand on the rim. Click in the middle to place the collected Arlyxir's Ashes.
Place Incubation Vessel
- If you notice when you get close to the sparks it says they flee from you. What you are supposed to do here is run around outside the cauldron on the floor herding the sparks into the cauldron so that when they flee from you they collide in it. You do this right you won't be anywhere near the cauldron when a baby Phoenix emerges and will receive no damage at all. So you just chase them in.
- Once the baby Phoenix has been born run up to the rim of the cauldron and empower the seal.
- Run away. (if you stay too close, you'll be eaten by the now hungry phoenix).

- Go up the flaming ramp (no damage) on the West side of the cauldron and stand on the rim. Click in the middle to place the collected Arlyxir's Ashes.
- Exit the zone.
- Back in Coliseum of Valor enter the Plane of Disease: Crypt of Decay [Tradeskill] through the portal at ( -191, 3, 0 ) .
- Slide the coffin lid at ( 320, -475, -75 ) .

- Collect the shovel and embalming kit from inside the coffin.

- Optional: Take the note to receive the house item a scrawled note.

- Suggestion: Set graphics to Extreme Performance to mostly eliminate the screen splashes.
- Collect the shovel and embalming kit from inside the coffin.
- Collect the following:
- 6 Plaguebringer protoplasm.
- 15 dormant pathogens.
- Click on the large cubes to Clean Waste twice, and collect a pathogen (not all cubes validate this step).
- 6 blighted marrow.
- Craft an Empower the Seal of Bertoxxulous in the Cauldron of Contagion at ( -11, -473, -92 ) .
Cauldron of Contagion
- Requires:
- Return to Varig Ro in the Coliseum of Valor to finish the quest and get major tradeskill experience.
